With the am MBA in Project Planning and Management and a Passion to solve community challenges faced by people in rural / developing communities, Alex Muwonge has developed program support expertise with 8 years’ experience in project planning and management having worked with regional and international non-profit organizations in areas of youth and women empowerment in ICT, business skills, social entrepreneurship training and livelihood skills development of young adults in rural/marginalized communities. He is effective in strategic partnership development and innovative social enterprise skills for organizational sustainability. I has conducted project monitoring and evaluation to access community impact of implemented programs.
In the last 5 years, Alex Muwonge managed an internship program for Digital Opportunity Trust in Uganda. Established operational relationships with 20 community partners for program implementation and carried out project needs assessment, developed relevant field surveys as well as collected and analyzed data for project impact assessment. In this period he engaged in proposal writing and fundraising with at least two proposals being funded 46,708 Euros from Oxfam as an implementing partner and 20,000 pounds from Rangoonwola Foundation.
As a Training Coordinator at KampaBits Digital Design School, Alex trained over 100 youth from slums with employable web and graphic designing skills as well as identified internship placements for them with various ICT companies.
